To me, they're more lightweight performance trainers, but I know labels can be funny. I know it has some, but I never found the Musha to have all that much support. Mizuno is using the Sayonara as a replacement for the Precision and the Elixir. I was told that the Sayonara has a tiny bit more support than the Elixir, but you won't engage it if you don't need it. It's very possible that the Hitogami has the same amount of support as the Musha or close to it. I'm really not sure. I use the Musha 4 for tempo work and some road races and really like it. Is the Hitogami the direct replacement for me and will it offer some support like the Wave Musha does?Anthonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06945712579619051160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5783661802270411070.post-18153850217866394712013-06-11T19:27:08.574-07:002013-06-11T19:27:08.574-07:00The Wave Universe 5 is crazy light. I heard the original idea for the Uiverse 5 was to make it out of race bib material. They didn't do that, but the shoe is printed to look like parts of race bibs.

I've done some short distance running in the Ekiden and I like that shoe more after a few miles. The New Universe will come out in July. It's even lighter than the last one. I can't wear it because I need more shoe. You might also consider the Mizuno Ekiden. It's between the Universe and the Hitogami. The Hitogami will be a great distance shoe for many runners. I am going to have to get a pair of the Hatogami for my collection! So far Ive been running short races in my Wave Universe 4's, but would like something a tiny bit cushier for a half marathon.
